Grilled Bacon Cheddar Turkey Burger

Ingredients

  • Step 1

    Preheat the outdoor grill to 450° F and lightly oil the grates or place a large sauté pan over medium heat.
  • Step 2

    Place the turkey burgers on the grill or saute pan and cook for 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4-6 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to confirm patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 165° F.
  • Step 3

    While turkey burgers are cooking, heat the buns in the oven or a toaster (optional).
  • Step 4

    Once the patties are cooked, place the buns on a clean work surface. Spread 1 tbsp. of mayonnaise onto each of the bottom buns. Next, top the mayonnaise with ¼ cup of tomatoes, then ¼ cup of arugula. Top the arugula with ¼ cup of red onions.
  • Step 5

    Place on a platter and serve immediately.
