Smoked Cajun Turkey Wings

Slow smoked and smothered turkey wings in tomato stock seasoned in Cajun spices and paired with dirty rice and beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 (2 lbs.) package Fresh Turkey Wings
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/3 cup diced yellow onion
  • ¼ cup diced celery
  • ¼ cup green bell pepper
  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • 2 cups Dirty Rice
  • 1 cup red beans
  • Step 1

    Preheat outdoor smoker to 350F.
  • Step 2

    Season wings with cajun seasoning and place in a 9x14” baking pan and start cooking for 2 hours.
  • Step 3

    While cooking the turkey cook the onion, celery, and peppers in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in tomatoes, broth, and tomato paste. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and pour over the wings halfway through the cooking time. Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 165F.

    Serve these wings to your family with your favorite dirty rice and red beans recipes.
