Smoked Turkey Tails in Honey & Vinegar BBQ Glaze
Smoky, tender turkey tails are finished with a sweet and tangy honey-vinegar BBQ glaze.

Ingredients
- 1 Package Shady Brook Farms® Turkey Tails (about 2 Lbs.)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Sliced scallions, for garnish
For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup favorite BBQ sauce
- 2 tbs honey or maple syrup
- 1tbsp apple cider vinegar

Step 1
Clean and trim the turkey tails then rinse and pat dry. Rub with olive oil. -
Step 2
Mix all dry seasonings (salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and brown sugar) together and toss the turkey tails in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated. -
Step 3
Preheat your smoker to 250°F. Use apple, hickory or pecan wood chips for best flavor. Smoke turkey tails for 1½ to 2 hours, until they are golden brown and tender and reach an internal temperature of around 200°F. -
Step 4
During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the tails with the BBQ glaze mixture. Let it sit and caramelize before serving. Garnish with fresh sliced scallions.
