Cali-Style Turkey Tacos
Ground turkey skillet cooked and seasoned with cumin, garlic and onion nestled in flour tortillas with fresh guacamole, shredded red cabbage, shredded carrots, and fresh cilantro. Finished with queso fresco.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ tablespoon kosher salt
- 16 corn tortillas
- 1 cup freshly prepared guacamole
- 1 cup crumbled queso fresco
Red Cabbage Slaw
- 1 cup shredded red cabbage
- 1/3 cup shredded carrots
- ¼ cup freshly chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice

Step 1
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey seasoned with cumin, garlic and onion powder and salt for 10-12 minutes or until cooked thoroughly. Remove from the skillet and rest warm. -
Step 2
In the same skillet, warm the tortillas, 30 seconds on each side. Repeat until all the tortillas are warm and keep them warm under a damp towel. -
Step 3
Combine all the ingredients for the slaw together in a mixing bowl. Set aside. -
Step 4
Build the tacos with two tortillas each and divide the guacamole in the center. Layer the turkey with the Red Cabbage Slaw and finish with queso fresco.
