Green Goddess Turkey Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 package Shady Brook Farms® Turkey Patties
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, plus ¼ teaspoon more for dressing
  • ⅛ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons flat leaf Italian parsley, chopped, split use
  • 3 Tablespoons chives, chopped, split use
  • 2 Tablespoon basil, chopped, split use
  • 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small seedless cucumber, sliced thin
  • Shredded green leaf lettuce
  • 4 burger buns
  • Vegetable oil, for rubbing on grill grates
  • Step 1

    Season the turkey patties evenly on both sides with ½ teaspoon salt and pepper.
  • Step 2

    To make the green goddess mayonnaise: add the mayonnaise, ¼ teaspoon salt, garlic, 2 Tablespoons parsley, 2 Tablespoons chives, 1 Tablespoon basil, olive oil, and lemon juice to a small food processor. Blend until smooth. If it is too thick, it can be thinned out with a little water.
  • Step 3

    Lightly oil the grill grates and heat grill to 375-400°F degrees. Cook the turkey patties for 4-6 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F degrees.
  • Step 4

    During the last few minutes of grilling time, if desired, place buns cut side down around the outer edges of the grill to toast them.
  • Step 5

    Spread the green goddess mayo onto the bottom bun, then add the turkey patty, cucumber, lettuce and remaining herbs. Top with more sauce if desired. Serve and enjoy!
