Heat a large skillet to medium heat, add in 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil and the sausages. Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning frequently until nicely browned and the sausages reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

When cool enough to handle, cut each sausage into 8 slices of equal size.

Thread sausage slices, peppers, and onions onto skewers. Brush with oil and lightly season with salt and pepper.

Preheat a grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates. Place the skewers on the grill approximately 3-5 minutes per side until veggies and sausages are nicely charred and the sausages reach an internal temperature of 165°F. Serve with Creamy Lemon Basil Sauce.

Creamy Lemon Basil Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth and combined. Serve with Grilled Italian Style Sausage Skewers.
