Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Turkey
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 4 whole wheat buns
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 leafs green lettuce

  • Step 1

    In a bowl, turkey, salt and pepper. Once combined, form burgers into 4 patties.
  • Step 2

    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer, about 7 minutes per side.
  • Step 3

    To serve, top the bottom bun with 1 tablespoon ketchup, top with lettuce, turkey patty, red onion, tomato and avocado.
  • Step 4

    Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on the bottom of the top bun. Serve immediately.
