Turkey Burgers


  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • Kosher salt and fresh black pepper, to taste

Pico de Gallo

  • 2 ripe tomatoes on the vine or roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • Kosher salt and fresh black pepper

  • Step 1

    To prepare the guacamole, place the avocado into a medium bowl and roughly mash with a fork. Stir in the onions, cilantro, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

    To prepare the pico de gallo, in a medium bowl, stir together the tomatoes, onions, cilantro, garlic, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Step 3

    To prepare the turkey patties, start an outdoor grill on medium-high heat.
  • Step 4

    Place the turkey patties on the grill and cook for 3 minutes, covered. Flip and continue to cook, covered, for 3-4 minutes more or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165°F using a meat thermometer.
  • Step 5

    Serve each turkey patty on a hamburger bun topped with guacamole
