Turkey Street Tacos with Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 93% Lean Ground Turkey
  • Tip: choose the ground turkey you like best! 85%, 93%, or 99% - our leanest ground turkey!
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 package simmer sauce or your favorite taco seasoning (Tip: make your own seasoning! Combine ¼ tsp of salt, ground ancho, ground coriander and ground chipotle.)
  • Diced white onion
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges
  • Guacamole, pre-made or make your own
  • Hot sauce
  • Hard or soft taco shells

  • Step 1

    Preheat an 8-10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat for 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Step 2

    Add 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil.
  • Step 3

    Add turkey to pan and cook until browned and crumbly. Ensure that turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F using a meat thermometer.
  • Step 4

    Stir in simmer sauce, salt, ancho, coriander and chipotle.
  • Step 5

    Reduce heat to low.
  • Step 6

    Cook 3 minutes.
  • Step 7

    Warm tortillas and assemble tacos with meat, onions, cilantro, a dash of hot sauce and a squeeze of lime.
