Cranberry Slow-Cooked Turkey Drumsticks

Ingredients
- 1 large white or yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 (14-ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 package Turkey Drumsticks, skin removed, about 2 pounds
- 1 1/2 cups frozen cranberries
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water

Step 1
Combine the onion, cranberry sauce, chicken broth, vinegar and salt in a 4- to 6-quart oval slow cooker. -
Step 2
Add the turkey drumsticks to the slow cooker and coat with the cranberry mixture. -
Step 3
Cover and cook until tender, about 4 hours on high, 6 hours on low. -
Step 4
Add the frozen cranberries and cook for another 15 minutes. -
Step 5
Combine the cornstarch and water and gently stir into the slow cooker. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until sauce bubbles and thickens. -
Step 6
Pull the meat from the bones. Serve with mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts (optional).
