Cranberry Slow-Cooked Turkey Drumsticks

- 1 large white or yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 (14-ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 package Turkey Drumsticks, skin removed, about 2 pounds
- 1 1/2 cups frozen cranberries
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water

Step 1Combine the onion, cranberry sauce, chicken broth, vinegar and salt in a 4- to 6-quart oval slow cooker.
Step 2Add the turkey drumsticks to the slow cooker and coat with the cranberry mixture.
Step 3Cover and cook until tender, about 4 hours on high, 6 hours on low.
Step 4Add the frozen cranberries and cook for another 15 minutes.
Step 5Combine the cornstarch and water and gently stir into the slow cooker. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until sauce bubbles and thickens.
Step 6Pull the meat from the bones. Serve with mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts (optional).
